The Greeter is the first point of contact for guests arriving for their cabin dining experience and plays a critical role in creating a warm, welcoming, and organized beginning to the guest journey.

The Greeter is responsible for checking guests in for their dining reservation, confirming their scheduled sleigh departure time, and ensuring guests understand when they will be heading up the mountain. Because multiple parties may arrive at once, this position requires someone who can provide genuine hospitality while remaining organized, attentive, and confident managing a busy guest flow.

The Greeter works closely with the Sleigh Hosts, restaurant host stand, dining managers, and General Manager to ensure every guest is accounted for and that the cabin team has accurate, real-time information about which guests have arrived and which guests are on their way up the mountain.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $12.14/hr - $16.04/hr

    • If hired into a tipped position, guaranteed to make a minimum of $20/hour, inclusive of tips (Add this bullet only for tipped roles)

  • Employment Type:Winter Seasonal 2026/2027

  • Shift Type:Full Time hours available

  • Minimum Age:At least 18 years of age

  • Housing Availability:No

Job Responsibilities:

Guest Welcome & Hospitality

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests arriving for their cabin dining reservation.

  • Warmly welcome guests and create a positive first impression of their dining experience.

  • Confirm each guest's reservation and provide clear information about their scheduled sleigh departure time.

  • Help guests understand that their check-in time corresponds to their sleigh departure time and ensure they are prepared to board when called.

  • Answer basic guest questions and provide information about the check-in and sleigh departure process.

  • Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional presence even during periods of high guest volume.

Tock & Guest Check-In

  • Utilize an iPad/tablet or printed Tock reservation list to manage guest arrivals.

  • Accurately locate and verify guest reservations.

  • Mark guests as \"Checked In\" in Tock upon arrival.

  • Coordinate with Sleigh Hosts to mark guests as \"On Sleigh\" once they have boarded.

  • Ensure Tock information is kept accurate and up to date throughout the evening.

  • Understand that accurate Tock updates directly communicate guest movement to the cabin team and allow the restaurant to prepare tables appropriately.

Sleigh Departure Coordination

  • Work directly with Sleigh Hosts to ensure all guests scheduled for each departure are accounted for before the sleigh leaves.

  • Maintain an organized flow of guests based on their scheduled departure times.

  • Communicate with Sleigh Hosts regarding guests who have checked in, guests who are still waiting, and any missing members of a party.

  • Help prevent confusion or delays by clearly communicating when guests should be ready for boarding.

  • Assist in maintaining an efficient and orderly departure process when multiple parties are checking in at the same time.

Communication with Restaurant Leadership

  • Communicate directly with the General Manager when guests request to travel up the mountain earlier than their scheduled departure time.

  • Confirm with the General Manager whether an earlier departure can be accommodated before communicating the change to the guest.

  • Communicate guest requests, delays, missing party members, or other concerns that may impact the slegh departure schedule.

  • Work closely with the dining team to ensure accurate guest information is communicated from check-in through arrival at the cabin.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or guest service experience preferred.

  • Comfortable using an iPad, tablet, or computer-based reservation system.

  • Previous experience with Tock or a similar reservation platform is preferred.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple guests and tasks simultaneously.

  • Warm, friendly, and naturally welcoming personality.

  • Able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Comfortable communicating directly with leadership and other departments.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, particularly with Sleigh Hosts and the cabin dining team.

  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and during peak ski season.

  • Comfortable working in a mountain environment and potentially outdoors for portions of the shift.
