Job summary

GE Vernova in Grand Forks, ND, is seeking a production teammate to support moulding operations for wind turbine blade components. You will follow work instructions, wear PPE, and assist in gel coat application, glass layup, and shell assembly.

The role involves toolbox-driven tasks and precise temperature checks during infusion, with a standard Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm shift. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or related experience, and prior manufacturing or wind blade experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Wear respirator and follow safety instructions.

Job Description Summary

Perform a variety of tasks to perform the moulding function of wind turbine manufacturing safely and efficiently.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform moulding tasks following work instructions
• Wear all personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety instructions regarding chemical usage
• Apply gel coat, lay glass and foam, smooth wrinkles and trim glass.
• Assemble root plate with bushings
• Lay profiles and place bag over shell
• Complete the infusion process – vacuum check, begin infusion, trouble shoot and take temperatures for remainder of process.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Requires wearing of respirator.

Desired Characteristics

• High School Diploma/GED or related experience
• Previous Manufacturing experience
• Previous experience working with wind turbine blades or composites

Position Shift: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $22.88-$27.50.
