Job summary

Ford Racing in Allen Park, Michigan is seeking a Powertrain Controls and Calibration Engineer for a multi-rotation program (24-36 months) that leads into a motorsports powertrain role. The position is hybrid, requiring at least four days onsite weekly in Allen Park, MI.

You will calibrate gasoline engines, support ECU mapping, and build HiL/SiL/DiL testing environments while collaborating with suppliers and Ford teams across performance programs. Domestic and international travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with simulation and coding in MATLAB & Simulink for control algorithms.
• Ability to calibrate engines and interpret engine mapping across systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
• MS/VS coding skills in C#, Python, or VBA are desired.

Responsibilities

• Gasoline engine calibration and controls development for racing vehicles.
• Support dynamometer and track hardware selection and engine mapping across multiple ECUs.
• Develop HiL/SiL/DiL simulation environments and testing frameworks.
• Assist with track testing and modification of production control strategies.
• Explore new technologies within racing sanctioning rules.
