Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Performance Engineer for its Competition Engineering Department in Michigan. The role focuses on event preparation, data analysis, vehicle dynamics, and race strategy to support IMSA Weather Tech Championship programs.

You will work closely with engineers, provide trackside support, and travel 40–80 days per year. A BS in engineering and 5 years motorsport experience are expected, with strong skills in modeling, data tools, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or other advanced technical background.
• 5 years of motorsport experience preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, kinematics, aerodynamics and tires.
• Familiarity with vehicle simulation and modeling.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute event-related objectives with engineering input.
• Analyze vehicle data and perform simulations to improve event performance.
• Develop, manage, and document race strategy and vehicle development tasks.
• Provide trackside and remote support during testing and events.
• Travel 40–80 days per year to support events and tests.
