Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an experienced Data and Electronics Engineer to join its Competition Engineering Group. This role supports the Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller in-house race team with both shop-based and trackside responsibilities.

The candidate will design and integrate vehicle electronic systems, manage harnesses and instrumentation, and coordinate data systems during race events, ensuring reliability and performance across programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with vehicle electronic systems design and integration.
• Familiarity with data acquisition, instrumentation, and harness development.
• Ability to support trackside and shop-based operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electronic system requirements for vehicle platforms.
• Develop and maintain vehicle electrical harnesses and instrumentation.
• Support trackside operations during race and test events including data system setup and diagnostics.
• Maintain documentation and SOPs for electrical systems and testing.

Pratt Miller is looking for an experienced Data and Electronics Engineer to join its Competition Engineering Group. This role would support the Corvette Racing By Pratt Miller’s in-house race team. This position would have both shop based and trackside support responsibilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Vehicle Electronic Systems

Design And Integration Of Vehicle Electronics And Control Systems

• Develop and specify harness, instrumentation, and electronic component requirements for system design
• Responsible for device programing and setup
• Develop and maintain system communication protocols and documentation
• Manage supplier technical interactions
• Develop and manage test requirements and planning when applicable
• Managing necessary reporting and documentation
• Development of operation SOPs

Maintenance Of The Vehicles Systems Not Limited To

• Develop and maintain the operating configurations for the various systems
• Manage associated documentation and distribution of updates
• Inspecting, installing, calibrating, and modifying vehicle electrical harnesses and instrumentation
• Verifying system operations
• Managing inventory and location of systems across the programs
• Tracking of maintenance and component servicing and life cycles

Trackside / Support Execution

Race and Test Event support

• Race and test event support is required.
• Support and testing duties could include but not limited to:
• Installation of data system
• Operation and programming of data systems
• Verification, maintenance and replacement of instrumentation and electronics equipment
• Data downloading and distribution
• Telemetry monitoring
• Participating in troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Data review related to vehicle system and instrumentation operation
• Assisting in setup and teardown of equipment
• Other various activities suited to skill set
• Reporting and documentation
