Job summary

Wise Auto Group is seeking an automotive technician in California to repair vehicles and perform maintenance for a loyal customer base. The ideal candidate has automotive experience across engines, is reliable, works well in a team, and adds value to the organization.

Responsibilities include executing warranty repairs to manufacturer specs, following repair orders, learning new tech, using diagnostic tools, and test-driving vehicles to verify fixes. Growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience or related training.
• Experience at front and back of parts counter preferred.
• Strong communication and customer relations skills.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and work at heights of 25 feet or more.

Responsibilities

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform repairs per repair order with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Learn new technology and service procedures; operate diagnostic equipment.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to verify repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.).
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to identify problem sources and provide repair recommendations.
• Maintain legible, accurate paperwork for customers and records.
• Keep work area clean and safe to ensure longevity and safety.

Pay: $34/hr-$40/hr
Wise Auto Group is looking to add a new Technician to their team. This person will be accountable for repairing vehicles and their ongoing maintenance for our loyal customers. The ideal candidate will have previous automotive experience working with a variety of engines, be a reliable employee, exhibit teamwork, and add value to our organization.
Responsibilities:

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership;
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, specifications, and able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance– Tasks include oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front end alignments, inspections, battery installations, and headlight/taillight installations.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures– Includes extensive diagnostic inventory to determine the sources of customer's problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
• Manage paperwork– Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and our records.
• Maintain cleanliness- Ensure the work environment is clean and safe to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.

Qualifications

• At least 1 yearof experience or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in both front and back of parts counter is preferred
• Strong communication and customer relations skills
• Strong math and reading comprehension skills
• General understanding of various functions of a distribution center
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and work at heights of 25 feet or more
• Ability to use a forklift or willingness to be certified within 90 days of hire
• 18 years of age or older
• Warehouse experience and material handling equipment experience preferred
• Computer-literate with the ability to learn and become proficient in any software program
• High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
