Job summary

Velocity Flex of Houston, LLC is seeking a 2nd shift Inserter/Coil Winder to produce windings for electric motors. Primary duties include inserting insulation and copper coils into motor stators, forming end turns, and assembling jumpers and connections according to specifications.

The role requires 2–6 years of motor winding experience, use of soldering and crimping equipment, and a basic understanding of electrical instruments.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years' experience with motor winding.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical instruments or devices in the operation of electrical motors, generators, power transmission or automatic equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Winding of electric motors through inserting copper wire coils and connecting the jumpers/lead cables.
• Inspect to assure compliance with Quality Control criteria, and perform associated tasks, forming coils as needed.
• Maintain work area and related tools clean and organized daily basis (5S).
• Able to perform 3-4 different tasks within the winding department.
• Cross train in other Dept. Motor Plant.
