MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR (FORK LIFT OPERATOR)

The primary purpose of this position is to operate one or more types of gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles typically having a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 32,000 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Drives and performs Vehicle Certifications on tractor trailers and/or other vehicles typically having a GVW of more than 32,000 pounds.
• Drives and performs Vehicle Certifications on various types of passenger buses which carry 16 or more passengers.
• Maintains records and documents actions, such as operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident reports.
• Operates one or more electric, LPG, or diesel powered fork lift trucks to facilitate loading and unloading duties.
• Performs operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing of vehicles, and performing inspection checklists to ensure safe and proper operation.
