Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles is seeking a Forklift Operator in Augusta, GA to support internal material movements, load and unload trailers, and maintain accurate inventory in SAP. You will operate a forklift, meet with internal customers to assess needs, and uphold safety, quality, delivery and housekeeping standards.

A High School Diploma or GED and 6–12 months of forklift experience, plus PIT certification, are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months of forklift or similar machinery experience.
• Must pass internal PIT forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift for internal material movements and finished goods if needed.
• Load trailers for outbound shipments and unload materials to their proper destination.
• Count raw materials and adjust SAP inventory records as needed.
• Dispatch trailers to prevent line downtime.
• Identify scrap or RTV and communicate with quality to remedy.
• Meet with internal customers to determine current and future needs.
• Maintain safety, quality, delivery and housekeeping standards.
• Dispatch trailers as needed.
• Operate a material scanner to move inventory in the system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift for internal material movements, as well as finished goods if needed.
• Load trailers for external outbound shipments and unload trailers and deliver materials to their proper supermarket or point of use (POU).
• Count raw materials and process returns to maintain accurate inventory records and adjust in SAP according to findings.
• Dispatch trailers as needed to prevent line down time.
• Identify and process scrap or RTV product as needed and communicate with quality to remedy.
• Meet with internal customers on a regular basis to determine current and future needs.
• Maintain acceptable performance standards for safety, quality, delivery, and general housekeeping.
• Dispatch trailers as needed.
• Operate a material scanner to make movements in inventory management system
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or ACT WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) at the Bronze level or higher.
• Years of Experience: 6-12 months or more years of experience required, experience operating comparable machinery including forklift, scissor lift, semi-truck, etc.
• Required to pass internal PIT course for forklift certification and maintain forklift certification
