NCSSM in Morganton seeks a Motor Pool Driver to maintain a clean vehicle, perform fluid checks, and serve as a dependable transportation resource for athletic events and Student Life activities.

This temporary, part-time position offers $17/hr non-CDL or $18/hr CDL, requires a valid NC Driver’s License and experience driving 12- and 15-passenger vans, with on-site parking and a comprehensive benefits package.

Description of Duties

• Responsible for maintaining a clean vehicle and checking and maintaining proper fluid levels.
• Reporting all problems/needed repairs with the vehicles to the supervisor.
• Obeying all traffic laws and other established regulatory requirements in performance of daily tasks.
• Recognizing emergency situations and following appropriate procedures.
• Carrying out all written and verbal instructions.
• Consistently treating all passengers with courtesy and respect.
• On occasion, remaining on site at games as a representative of NCSSM and serving in an on-call driver capacity.
• Driving for athletic events and matches.
