Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a skilled motor grader operator in Alaska to level subgrade and prep for road construction. This union-represented position requires safely operating a tractor with a blade, reading plans, and following engineering drawings.

You will perform routine equipment inspections, attach blades, and work with GPS technology when available. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and possess the proper certification.

Qualifications

• Proper certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader safely and efficiently per safety standards.
• Align machine with reference stakes and guidelines on the ground.
• Attach different blades or attachments to equipment.
• Experience with GPS is a plus.
• Grading experience is preferred.
• Read and understand plans and specifications.
• Conduct equipment inspections, grease, and oil daily to maintain proper working condition.
