Martin Marietta - Motor Grader Operator

Martin Marietta is seeking a Motor Grader Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a motor grader in Mining across various quarries within the Raleigh District.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Operating a Motor Grader in accordance with company guidelines and safety standards
• Completing daily pre- and post-inspections of work areas and ensuring proper roadways
• Performing pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and reporting repairs to the supervisor
• Ensuring safe operations around roadways and stockpile areas
• Performing daily preventative maintenance such as checking tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks, and moving parts for proper function
• Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Assisting in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Experience in operating a motor grader
• Experience in operation and maintenance of off-road vehicles and heavy equipment (preferred)
