Seward County Roads Department is hiring a Motor Grader Operator to maintain and improve county roadways. The role involves operating the motor grader and related heavy equipment to ensure safe access and proper road conditions, with attention to grade specifications and material handling.

Starting wage is $23.46 per hour or more, depending on experience. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and effective teamwork to keep the county’s transportation network in top condition.

Qualifications

• Experience operating motor graders or other heavy equipment.
• Commitment to safety protocols and roadway maintenance.
• Ability to read grade specifications and work with precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader and other heavy equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Perform rough or fine grade finishing and material spreading to prepare road surfaces.
• Shave and rip out old road surfaces as needed to meet specifications.
• Maintain equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs.

Motor Grader Operator

Seward County Roads Department is now accepting applications for the position of a Motor Grader Operator!

Motor Grader Operator is responsible for operating the motor grader and other heavy equipment in
a safe and effective manner to ensure the roadways are accessible, safe and in good operating
condition. The Motor Grader Operator performs either rough or fine grade finishing, precisely
spreading and mixing materials in order to dry and prep roads, construct road surface to precise grade specifications, and/or shave and rip out old road surfaces.

Starting wage: $23.46 or more per hour, depending on experience.
