Job description

Working with story artists, the visual development team, and editors, the designer/animator will use After Effects and Photoshop to create stylized story sequences. This involves digitally telling the story through effects and adding movement to static storyboards and concept paintings.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with story artists, the visual development team, and editors to create moving storyboards supporting storytelling in sequences.
2. Create animated graphics for storyboard sequences using After Effects and Photoshop.
3. Assist in timing adjustments for motion graphics ideas.
4. Manage digital assets and deliveries for well-conceived creative work that advances storytelling.
5. Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema4D, and other 3D applications to create advanced designs.

Qualifications:

• Design, Motion Graphics, After Effects, and Photoshop experience in feature film, TV, or commercials.
• Expertise in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D packages like Maya, 3Ds Max, Cinema 4D, or Blender.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling through motion, cinematography, and staging.
• Critical eye for color, composition, lighting, art, animation, timing, and camera work.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple elements.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas clearly.
• Team player with initiative and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of current post-production workflows and adaptability to new technologies.
• Professionalism with the ability to deliver quality work on tight schedules.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $56.23 to $65.00 per hour. This role qualifies for benefits under the collective bargaining agreement. The actual salary offered will depend on various factors.
