Job summary

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, UT is seeking a Motion & Graphic Designer to lead motion design, with responsibilities in videography and supporting graphic design. You will manage creative projects from concept through delivery, collaborating with the Art & Design Manager, Creative, and Marketing teams to uphold our brand across exhibits and digital platforms.

The role requires a strong foundation in motion design, video production, and a robust portfolio.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in motion design, graphic design, visual communications, multimedia design, film/video production, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years in motion design, graphic design, video production, or related field.
Experience with video production and editing; ability to capture usable footage.
Strong graphic design fundamentals and an impressive portfolio.
Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Strong understanding of motion-design principles, typography, pacing, and visual storytelling.
Experience preparing motion graphics and graphics for different platforms and formats.
Attention to detail, organization, communication, and project-management skills.
Able to receive direction, work independently, and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

Responsibilities

Design and produce motion graphics for digital displays, social media, websites, and events using After Effects.
Develop storyboards and concept frames; bring assets to life through movement.
Plan and capture video footage for marketing and events.
Edit video in Premiere Pro with pacing, color, and audio adjustments.
Create content for multiple platforms and formats; adapt for aspect ratios and codecs.
Apply principles of motion design to all projects and maintain brand storytelling.
Organize footage and review content for quality, continuity, and messaging.
