Job summary

The Heist, a hybrid motion design studio, seeks an Art Director, Motion to lead with vision across social, branded, commercial, and experiential campaigns. You will supervise 3D/2D content, mentor junior talent, and push creative boundaries from storyboard to final deliverables.

You will collaborate with directors, producers, and designers to shape narratives, maintain production efficiency, and stay ahead of industry trends in a dynamic, dog-friendly, collaborative studio environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of motion design or animation experience, with leadership exposure.
• Strong visual storytelling, typography, color theory, and design principles.
• Proficiency in Cinema 4D, Redshift, and Adobe Creative Suite required.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept development and the realization of creative direction for motion projects.
• Create styleframes and storyboards to define tone and motion language.
• Oversee and guide 3D/2D motion graphics for quality and cohesion.
• Collaborate with creative directors, producers, and designers to shape campaign narratives.
• Provide thoughtful and actionable feedback to elevate work.
• Direct small to mid-size teams of animators and designers across projects.
• Contribute to pitch decks, treatments, and new business efforts when needed.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and techniques to elevate output.
