Job summary

The Shriners Hospital for Children Motion Analysis Center (MAC) Engineer will operate, maintain, and acquire data for pediatric motion analysis to support clinical care and research initiatives.

You will collaborate with medical staff to design evaluations, ensure calibration and data processing per protocol, and help develop new clinical programs while training therapists, technicians, students and volunteers to ensure high-quality data output.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, Kinesiology, or related field.
• 2+ years of motion analysis and/or biomechanics experience.
• 2+ years of programming experience (Python, R).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services to support the MAC Physical Therapist in motion analysis center services.
• Assist design and implementation of individualized evaluations to meet pediatric patient needs.
• Obtain and maintain CMLA accreditation.
• Maintain competency in calibration, raw data collection, processing, and report generation.
• Assist System MAC Engineer and Movement Scientists with development and integration of new clinical programs.
• Provide orientation and training to new therapists, technicians, students and volunteers.
