Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Unit Support Coordinator for the Mother Baby Unit in Rockville, MD. You will support departmental operations, process physician orders, and maintain data and records, ensuring a clean, safe and orderly work environment.

This part-time role (24 hours/week, two 12-hour day shifts, 7am–7pm) requires a high school diploma, at least 6 months hospital/office experience, and basic medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months experience in a hospital or doctor's office.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Proficient in PC, Internet and email.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe and orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, and by performing clerical and other support services as directed.
• Responsible for processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties.
