Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (Mother Baby) to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will evaluate care with interdisciplinary teams and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld, aligned with Mercy’s mission.

In the Mother Baby unit, you will care for mothers and newborns during the postpartum period, supporting a smooth transition home with family-centered care and compassionate guidance within Mercy’s standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or achievable within 30 days of hire.
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required (see list).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams and supervise direct caregivers.
• Uphold patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with Mercy’s standards.
• Support mothers and newborns in the Mother Baby unit during the postpartum period.
