Job summary

BayCare Health System — Winter Haven Women’s unit is seeking an experienced RN for Mother/Baby. The Registered Nurse will independently care for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards, delegating tasks as needed to the health care team.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, NRP, and at least one year of acute care experience. An Associates Degree in Nursing is required, with Mother/Baby RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license, BLS, and NRP.
• At least one year of RN acute care experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Mother/Baby RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care providers to develop and assist in the plan of care.

Position Description: RN - Mother/Baby

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

Shift: Shift 3

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
