Job Summary and Qualifications

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public, and provide advice and emotional support. RNs use judgment in providing services and administer medicines and treatments as directed by physicians.

What you will do in this role:

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Maintain accurate reports and records.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses.
• Supervise healthcare personnel or specific units.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members on care plans.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and activity.
• Provide postpartum and newborn care, demonstrating competency.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
• Educate patients on self-care and newborn care.
• Provide discharge instructions and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support the facility’s standards and values.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or acceptable equivalent.
• Current BLS certification (additional certifications as required).
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Mother Baby experience preferred.
