Job summary

The County of Galveston is seeking a Mosquito Control Spray Operator to operate spray trucks for nightly mosquito control in assigned areas. This position adheres to safety standards and performs routine inspections of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities include refilling tanks, cleaning tanks, maintaining shop facilities, and assisting in vehicle maintenance. Night shift with licensing requirements and wage information.

Qualifications

The purpose of this class is to operate spray trucks in a safe manner while applying pesticides for mosquito control.

Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. No experience required.

• Requires Texas Department of Agriculture non-commercial pesticide license within six months of employment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
