Job summary

Mosquito Authority of Metro East seeks a Mosquito & Pest Control Specialist to apply proven pest-control products on commercial and residential properties. You will provide expert pest control in a friendly, respectful, and efficient manner, with emphasis on impeccable customer service and safe, outdoor work.

MAPA offers the Authority Pro Training Program to certify you as a top-tier specialist, plus ongoing expert training for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old with HS diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• 1–3 years experience in pest control preferred.
• Physical requirements: standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Extended hours and Saturdays when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully in training opportunities to enhance knowledge and licensing requirements.
• Work safely in accordance with state requirements and OSHA policies; use safety equipment.
• Use pesticide equipment (sprayers, ladders, backpack blowers) up to 60 pounds in heat and uneven terrain.
• Respond to customer inquiries, requests, or issues and resolve promptly.
• Complete job documentation accurately and timely.
• Work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend hours.
• Maintain a clean company vehicle and drive company vehicles to client sites.
• Upsell services based on customer needs through inspections and communication.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Participate fully in training opportunities provided to enhance knowledge and to meet requirements for licensing.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with state requirements, OSHA policies and procedures, and maintaining and utilizing required safety equipment when performing duties.
• Use of Pesticide equipment to include sprayers, ladders, backpack blowers (up to 60 pounds) in heat and humidity, often through uneven terrain.
• Utilizes excellent communication skills to respond to basic customer inquiries, requests, complaints or issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Complete job documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Work flexible schedule as required to meet weekly responsibilities, including occasional weekend hours (NEVER on Sundays).
• Maintain a clean company vehicle and operate the vehicle safely and legally.
• Drive company vehicles to client sites to provide services in a professional, safe and friendly manner.
• Upsell services based on customer needs through thorough inspections and communication.

Requirements

• 19 years old with High School diploma / GED
• Valid Driver’s license for 3 years with an excellent driving record (4 points or less currently)
• One to three years experience in pest control (preferred)
• Job requires standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling
• Extended hours and Saturdays when necessary
