Job summary

Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) is seeking a Mosquito Technician to deliver professional mosquito surveillance and preventative services outdoors. You will support large-scale spraying and ensure safety, accuracy, and customer communication on every visit.

The role requires alertness to hazards, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid driver’s license. Training is provided, with benefits starting day one for full-time colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must have basic attention to detail and clear communication.
• Willingness to learn pest control practices and safety.
• Customer-facing experience is preferred.
• Licenses/certificates may be required by regulations (provided by employer).

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspect zones for mosquito breeding and larvae via visual inspection and dipping.
• Assess sites and apply control techniques: source reduction, biological or chemical controls.
• Place and retrieve monitoring devices for mosquito populations.
• Record findings and control activities on logs, and enter data into the database.
