Job summary

Fidelity Memorial Group in Savannah, GA seeks an On-Call Mortuary Transport Specialist to join our partner funeral home. You will be responsible for the respectful care, removal and transport of the deceased from the place of passing to the funeral home, with dignity and professionalism.

This part‑time, on‑call role requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, the ability to lift 100+ pounds, and flexibility to work night shifts or on weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent physical fitness, capable of lifting and pushing/pulling weights exceeding 300 pounds with a partner.
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule: 5 days on followed by 2 days off.
• Ability to drive safely in various traffic and weather conditions.
• Strong professional communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• The removal technician will complete and assist in the removal and transport of the deceased to the funeral home.
• Completing or assisting in removal of descendants from hospitals, coroner offices, convalescent homes and residences.
• Performs verification of the deceased and reviews required documentation.
• Willingness and ability to work night shift and/or be on call.
• Assist funeral directors as needed.

Job Description: The removal technician will complete and assist in the removal and transport of the deceased to the funeral home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completing or assisting in removal of descendants from hospitals, coroner offices, convalescent homes and residences.
• Performs verification of the deceased and reviews required documentation.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds safely.
• Excellent customer service skills and respect towards families.
• Ability to properly fill out paperwork as assigned by the funeral home for removal of the deceased.
• Willingness and ability to work night shift and/or be on call.
• Assist funeral directors as needed.
• Clean Driving record to be approved by Insurance Company
• Other duties as assigned by the location manager

Job Types: Part‑time

Compensation: $33/hour

Schedule and Other Requirements:

• Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
