Devon Bank is seeking a Junior Mortgage Underwriter/Senior Processor in Chicago to support residential 1-4 family loan underwriting and processing. You will review files, ensure income/assets/debts are accurate, and coordinate with branch staff to move files through underwriting.

The role combines underwriting and processing duties, requires strong knowledge of residential mortgage guidelines, and experience with the Encompass system. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of mortgage experience as Sr Processor with underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of residential mortgage guidelines and investor requirements.
• Proficiency with Encompass operating system.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review of file for compliance with product and investor guidelines.
• Verify income, assets, and debts on the 1003 and related documents.
• Clear conditions within time frames and coordinate with branch staff.
• Order appraisals, title, flood, and other third-party services as needed.
• Maintain documentation and logs in Encompass.
