Job summary

Union Home Mortgage Corp. is seeking an Underwriter responsible for analyzing and evaluating loan applications based on borrowers' financial profiles. You will ensure timely underwriting of 3-4 loans daily while adhering to guidelines to mitigate risk.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Underwriting experience and a strong background in the mortgage business. Knowledge of Encompass LOS is preferred. This role involves maintaining compliance and supporting loan officers.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as an Underwriter and complete knowledge of the mortgage business.
• Strong analytical skills, especially in credit and risk.
• Knowledge of FHA/VA/Agency loans and Direct Endorsement (DE).

Responsibilities

• Underwrite 3-4 new loans per day while minimizing risk.
• Clear UTC conditions within 24 hours.
• Ensure compliance with investor and agency guidelines.
