FirstBank is currently hiring an efficient, high energetic Mortgage Loan Processor to add to our current Residential Mortgage Processing team. You will gather and review all necessary financials to include investigating any inconsistencies to ensure the mortgage loan gets to closing on time.

FirstBank is currently hiring an efficient, high energetic Mortgage Loan Processor to add to our current Residential Mortgage Processing team. You will gather and review all necessary financials to include investigating any inconsistencies to ensure the mortgage loan gets to closing on time.

It is imperative this candidate be a detail-oriented team player with a positive personality. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Mortgage loan processor should also have an aptitude in math and excellent time management skills.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Processors are the point of contact communicating any necessary status updates throughout the entire mortgage process between the Loan Officers, underwriters, 3rd parties and clients.
• Ordering documentation to include: credit report updates, appraisals, title reports, insurance, fraud reports, flood certifications, income and asset verifications.
• General evaluation of a loan application and financials. Processor to verify, validate and obtain information required by AUS findings and/or GSE/Investor guidelines
• Investigating any inconsistencies and making appropriate corrections
• Processor to work as a team with sales and processing teams to ensure loans are being processed with attention to detail, accuracy, and within compliance of corporate policies.
• Submitting and resubmitting efficient files to underwriting while meeting timeline requirements
  
  

Requirements

• Excellent computer skills. Encompass 360 a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
• Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
• Attention to detail quality. Well organized and ability to handle pressure
• Ability to work well with others and work as a team
• Clear understanding of loan underwriting and processing procedures
• Open to new changes and willingness to accept corrective criticism
• Efficient in Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo loans and state-based programs
• Basic Products knowledge and ability to research guidelines independently
• 2-year mortgage processing experience required. 1 year considered.
