Job summary

Orrstown Bank seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer/Processor to generate mortgage loans and liaise with realtors, developers, and contractors in Towson and surrounding areas.

The role requires detail orientation, strong reading, verbal and written communication, and solid knowledge of underwriting guidelines, closing procedures, and real estate lending regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years loan experience; advanced banking training preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Knowledge of mortgage underwriting, loan documentation, and lending guidelines.
• Familiarity with federal real estate lending regulations and closing procedures.
• Understanding of appraisals, contracts, and loan products.

Responsibilities

Job description

This position may be located in Harrisburg, York, Lancaster or Towson. Perform a variety of duties associated with generating mortgage loans; contact realtors, developers, and contractors regarding institution mortgage programs; counsel prospective mortgage customers; take applications; prepare appropriate documentation; make recommendations on mortgage loans; communicate decision to the mortgage customer.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years loan experience with prior advanced banking training through AIB, PB, ABA, etc. preferred.

High level of attention to detail; proficient reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, computer, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal relations skills; self-starter showing initiative; work autonomously as well as part of a team; strong working knowledge of mortgage underwriting, loan documentation, conventional and government lending guidelines, federal lending regulations governing real estate lending and residential mortgage processing, closing procedures, appraisals and contracts; and features and benefits of Bank loan products and services;
