Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Mortgage Coordinator to support origination and processing workflows from application to closing.

You will coordinate documentation, communications, and internal processes, acting as a key contact between borrowers, loan consultants, underwriters, and closing staff. The role requires strong knowledge of mortgage processes, documentation, and compliance, with a focus on accuracy, timely progression, and excellent service to customers and

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Banking, or related field.
• Occasional extended hours may be required based on loan volume and deadlines.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Review loan files for completeness and readiness for processing.
• Organize and maintain borrower documentation in systems and files.
• Communicate with borrowers and partners to obtain missing items.
• Secure and document intent to proceed where applicable.
• Order appraisals, title work, attorneys and other services as needed.
• Prepare notices and documentation, including declines and 10-day letters.
• Ensure documents are categorized and ready for underwriting review.
• Coordinate file movement across origination, processing, underwriting and closing.
• Review appraisal documents and clear appraisal conditions per procedures.
• Track bank conditions and follow up for timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate loan records and ensure completeness before underwriting.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Support compliance with lending regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with Closing Coordinator to ensure smooth closing transitions.
• Deliver high-level internal and external customer service.
