Job summary

First Horizon Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Assistant in Houston to support the loan officer and processing staff in daily mortgage operations and clerical duties. You will greet customers, quote loan rates, complete telephone applications, and cross-sell bank products.

The role focuses on assisting in processing and closing real estate mortgage loans, building customer relationships for routine tasks, and providing admin support to supervisors and loan officers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Assist loan officer/processing staff in the processing and closing of real estate mortgage loans
• Develop relationship with customers to handle routine tasks and request and anticipate loan requirements
• Provide administrative support to supervisor and loan officers in handling routine tasks such as mail, telephone, correspondence, facsimile transmissions, and copying
• Assist in preparing loan packages
• Performs all other duties as assigned
