Job summary

Trustmark National Bank is seeking an entry-level Mortgage Loan Processor I/II/III in Mississippi to support the processing of residential loan applications from initial intake to underwriting. This role may serve as an assistant to experienced processors and advance as proficiency grows.

Responsibilities include gathering documents, updating the origination system, and ensuring regulatory compliance while learning automated underwriting processes and supporting team workflow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; related education/experience in mortgage or real estate processing preferred.
• Proven strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication; strong listening skills.
• Teachable attitude and openness to coaching and training.
• Ability to input data accurately with low error rate.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and apply knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced processors with routine duties (ordering flood certs, appraisals, paying invoices).
• Update information from statements, paystubs, and appraisals into origination system.
• Gather documentation to address automated underwriting findings and address UW conditions.
• Ensure compliance with bank and government regulations.
• Learn to submit quality files to underwriting and support processing.
• Level II: data entry and communication with parties; support clearance of underwriting conditions.
• Level III: train and mentor Level I/II processors and anticipate problems.
