Job summary

Heart of Louisiana is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to manage loan applications, verify documents, and coordinate with members and third-party vendors throughout the underwriting process.

You will order reports, review all materials for accuracy, and track statuses from application to closing to ensure timely closings. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and knowledge of lending guidelines.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of Mortgage Lending experience; processing and servicing preferred.
• High school diploma required; Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong communication and discretion in confidential interactions.
• Detail oriented with accuracy in documentation and math computations.
• Ability to read loan documents and guidelines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare loan applications for underwriting by reviewing documents.
• Collect required documentation from members and third-party vendors.
• Order title reports, flood certificates, appraisals and related docs.
• Review documentation for accuracy and identify needed research.
• Coordinate closings with title agencies and members to ensure smooth process.
• Track loan statuses from application to closing to meet deadlines.
• Communicate with Mortgage Loan Originators, members, title companies and partners.
• Maintain knowledge of guidelines and policies; ensure adherence.
• Perform other related job duties.
