Job summary

The Masters Of Lending Team in the United States seeks an experienced Loan Partner 2 to manage borrower prequalification, pre-approvals, and pipeline execution for a top mortgage team. You will ensure loans are structured properly, communicated clearly, and closed on time. This role collaborates with the Loan Officer, processors, underwriters, and third-party partners to deliver a concierge borrower and referral partner experience.

Qualifications

  • Active NMLS license or licensed within 30 days of hire date.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of mortgage loan officer assistant, processing, or origination experience.
  • Proficient in DU/DO, LP, and investor guidelines.
  • Experience with major LOS platforms Encompass and Blend.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, time management, and follow-up.
  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems quickly and independently.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Completion of regulatory and compliance training.

Responsibilities

  • Prequalify: Serve as an available resource for referral partners when the Loan Officer is unavailable.
  • Engage in soft qualification conversations to assess borrower readiness and scenario viability.
  • Answer referral partner questions on condo warrantability, bank statements, recasting, and loan structure.
  • Communicate clearly with referral partners using compliant language.
  • Pre-Approve: Accurately pre-approve qualified borrowers.
  • Prepare payment and scenario requests.
  • Proactively engage pre-approved buyers.
  • Pipeline Management: Onboard all new contracts for rate lock consultation.
  • Submit applications to processing for disclosures.
  • Execute borrower updates, pre-closing, and funding calls.
  • Perform daily pipeline checks and attend milestone reviews.
  • Deliver borrower and Realtor updates consistently.
  • Review Closing Disclosures for accuracy.
  • Conduct pre-closing and funding calls.
  • Provide post-closing support and urgent after-hours assistance.
  • Ensure loans close on time.
  • Resolve loan issues prior to LO escalation.
  • Maintain professionalism in written and verbal communication.
  • Act as a concierge between borrowers and business partners.

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Loan Partner 2 (LP2) to manage borrower prequalification, pre-approvals, and pipeline execution for a high-performing mortgage team. The LP2 role plays a critical role in ensuring loans are structured properly, communicated clearly, and closed on time. This role works closely with the Loan Officer, borrowers, processors, underwriters, and third-party partners to maintain on-time closings while delivering a concierge-level borrower and referral partner experience.

Essential Duties of this Position
  • Prequalify: Serve as an available resource for referral partners when the Loan Officer is unavailable
  • Engage in soft qualification conversations to help assess general borrower readiness and scenario viability
  • Answer referral partner questions such as Condo warrantability, Bank statement borrower scenarios, recasting, and general loan structure questions
  • Communicate effectively with all referral partners (Realtors, financial advisors, builders, and other partners) using clear, accurate, and compliant language
  • Pre-Approve: Accurately pre-approve qualified borrowers
  • Prepare payment and scenario requests
  • Proactively engage pre-approved buyers
  • Communicate effectively with referral partners
  • Pipeline Management: Onboard all new contracts for rate lock consultation
  • Submit applications to processing for disclosures
  • Execute borrower updates, pre-closing, and funding calls
  • Perform daily pipeline "gauge checks"
  • Attend pipeline meetings and milestone reviews
