Lakeside Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate residential first mortgage loans by developing relationships with real estate professionals, attorneys, and referral partners. This role demands strong relationship-building skills and the ability to generate new business while ensuring a quality loan application process.
The position offers a base salary of $30,000 plus commissions on closed loans. Full benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k) plan are provided.

A Mortgage Loan Consultant or Mortgage Loan Originator will be responsible for originating residential first mortgage loans. The MLC will generate new business by developing and maintaining strong relationships with real estate professionals, developers, CPAs, Attorneys, and other referral partners while providing superior service to bank customers. The MLC will also be responsible for completing and submitting a quality loan application and resolving any outstanding issues in order to complete the mortgage origination.

This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the terms of the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with the Bank, the MLC must register via the NMLS registry or re‑register and move their prior registration to Lakeside Bank’s registration rolls. Continued employment is contingent upon successful registration after the start date and annual re‑registration thereafter.
Base salary of $30,000. In addition, the Mortgage Loan Originator will receive commissions earned on closed and funded loans, compensated only for loans that close, fund, and generate fee income to Lakeside.
For the first 5 years of service, the employee is eligible for 3 weeks of vacation. All employees receive 5 days of paid sick time, 5 days of PTO, and 11 paid holidays each year.
