Job summary

ONWARD HOME MORTGAGE, a member of the Newrez Family of Companies, is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator in Alpharetta, GA. The role involves meeting clients, soliciting referrals, and originating loans in line with NewRez guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of loan origination experience, a two-year degree (or equivalent), and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Strong sales and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must qualify for and obtain state licensure; mortgage licensure requires clean credit.
• Minimum 1 year mortgage loan origination experience.
• 2 year college degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Sell loan products offered by NewRez.
• Contact prospective clients to develop and maintain referral sources.
• Meet with prospective clients at outside locations such as a client's home.
• Make in-person calls on real estate agents, financial advisors and other potential referral sources to develop borrower leads.
• Engage in marketing and promotional activities in support of your own sales.
• Meet monthly minimum personal production goals.
• Take mortgage loan applications and prepare effective loan proposals.
