Job summary

Bell Bank Mortgage in Baxter, MN is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator under minimal supervision to market and originate loans that meet regulatory and investor guidelines for sale on the secondary market.

You will gather documentation, submit through DU/LP, structure loans, provide disclosures and LE, maintain relationships with borrowers and processors, and stay compliant with FNMA/FHLMC/HUD guidelines.

Qualifications

• B.A. or minimum of three years of mortgage banking experience.
• Two years of mortgage banking sale experience.
• NMLS registration.
• Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, HUD/VA Lending, regulatory compliance and investor guidelines.
• Ability to plan to market and develop business contact.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel to different branches and off-site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Market and originate mortgage loans meeting regulatory and investor guidelines for sale on the secondary market.
• Gather information for documentation, analysis, disclosures and underwriting.
• Submit through DU/LP and review findings for guidelines.
• Enter data into origination system and order appraisal.
• Solicit and take loan applications professionally.
• Provide borrower compliance information and disclosures.
• Provide LE within regulatory guidelines and re-disclosures as needed.
• Maintain communication with agents, borrowers, processors and closers.
• Develop marketing plans to expand market share and maintain client relationships.
• Stay up to date on program, compliance and investor guideline changes.
