Job summary

City of Jacksonville seeks a Mortgage Loan Processor to analyze income information, financial statements, and verifications of employment within an office-based environment. The role supports the Affordable Housing program through contract review and loan coordination, reporting to the Affordable Housing Assistant Administrator.

The candidate should have paralegal expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to draft and review diverse legal documents while maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of education and/or experience in paralegal work, including at least two (2) years in a transactional environment.
• Knowledge of paralegal practices and procedures.
• Ability to develop and draft an array of legal documents, contracts, and other transactional documents.

Responsibilities

• Collects, reviews, and analyzes documents necessary for the preparation of contracts, contract amendments, and loan transactional documents.
• Drafts, reviews, and revises legal and professional documents and coordinates contract execution; assists with closing as appropriate by preparing and delivering necessary documents and contracts.
• Gathers, organizes, and summarizes information relevant to legal issues.
• Works closely with legal counsel throughout the contract development and execution process.
• Tracks, monitors, and reports on active legal items including contracts, amendments, mortgage‑related documents, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and litigation.
