Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Loan Closer to professionally close all types of mortgage loans in a timely manner with high quality.

The role requires reviewing pre-closing documents, inputting data, drawing and releasing closing documents, and ensuring closing conditions are met before funding. Occasional overtime and overnight travel may be required as part of supporting the branch and other closers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-closing documents to ensure guidelines compliance.
• Input closing data in loan operating system.
• Draw and release closing documents to the settlement agent.
• Review closing conditions and clear them when met.
• Authorize funding of loan.
• Assist branch with closing related questions.
• Assist other closers’ pipeline when volume requires.
• Resolve post-closing issues as needed.
• Conduct business professionally to serve customers and grow company profit.
• Ability to work overtime and travel overnight.
