Job summary

Planet Home Lending, LLC is seeking a Mortgage Closer to join our team of seasoned mortgage professionals. You will review loan packages, schedule closings, and prepare loan closing documents prior to funding.

The role requires three years of residential mortgage closing experience, strong knowledge of RESPA, FHA/VA, FNMA and FHLMC guidelines, and proficiency with Encompass and MS Office. Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of loan closing/funding experience in residential mortgage.
• Strong knowledge of RESPA disclosures and FHMA/FHMA guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manages pipeline of loans to ensure service standards and financial goals are met.
• Prepares initial closing disclosure along with closing package; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Prepares, balances, and emails final closing disclosure to title company; coordinates timely delivery.
• Balances final figures with title and orders wire from wire desk.
• Communicates with team and external entities to facilitate a prompt closing.
• Reads and resolves loan compliance issues during closing/funding; handles post-closing/audit findings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
