Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services seeks a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Ledger Specialist to complete and monitor ledgers through the bankruptcy process on residential mortgage loans. You will coordinate with attorneys and internal teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness, minimizing losses and preserving lien-holder interests.

The approved target pay range is $26-$27/hour. We value strong math skills, accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong maths and accounting foundations required.
• Experience balancing ledgers and handling bankruptcy-related calculations.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organization and time management.
• Solid understanding of the bankruptcy process and related regulations.
• Ability to research, verify servicer data, and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor ledgers for all bankruptcy processes with high accuracy.
• Verify borrower payment history and resolve posting discrepancies (ledger balancing).
• Respond to inquiries from bankruptcy attorneys and related parties.
• Research and remediate files using Fiserv/Sagent and servicer data.
• Process and organize bankruptcy documents and filings (MO Relief, Proofs of Claims, Notices).
• Audit and complete set-up of bankruptcy filings with accuracy and coordination.
• Significant responsibilities may include training colleagues on bankruptcy processes.
