About the Role

Longmark Group is expanding into mortgage origination and hiring our first Mortgage Loan Officer / Mortgage Account Executive. This founding role combines sales and operations, with commission on a fixed fee per loan basis in year one. We seek entrepreneurial, start-up-oriented candidates eager to sell and contribute to broader MLO operations. The role is remote or based in New York City. Candidates must have an active NMLS license and be Qualified Individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead loan officer for SFR investor and consumer-purpose loans
  • Manage the sales pipeline: generate leads, cultivate referral relationships, and develop opportunities
  • Collaborate with partners and internal teams to structure and close loans
  • Maintain relationships with repeat investor clients
  • Achieve monthly loan origination targets
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Contribute to shaping the lending playbook: inform product development, build scalable sales processes, and provide feedback on pricing and underwriting
  • Represent the company externally: build partnerships, attend events, and grow brand presence in investor and mortgage communities

Over time, opportunities may arise for broader leadership roles, including P&L ownership, expansion, and team management as Head of Mortgage.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years as a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator
  • Active NMLS license and Qualified Individual (QI) in at least one state
  • Proven track record in originating SFR investor loans
  • Familiarity with LOS systems (e.g., Arrive, Encompass, LendingPad) and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Knowledge of underwriting standards and loan structuring
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Experience in startup or fast-paced lending environments is a plus
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented in dynamic settings
