Job summary

Empire Distributors Inc., a leading beverage distributor in Pineville, NC, is hiring a Morning Warehouse Worker. The role runs 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with competitive wages and benefits. You will receive, verify, rotate, and restock stock; operate forklift and order picker; assist with inventories; and prepare orders for shipment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; forklift certification is preferred. Potential for growth and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience not necessarily required; 1–3 months acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Receives stock and verifies accuracy of new product.
• Rotates stock and restocks returned items.
• Operates forklift and order picker machines.
• Assists with quarterly inventories.
• Reads production/shipping orders to determine items to move and distribute.
• Loads and moves materials to storage or shipping areas.
• Packs customer orders and labels materials.
• Janitorial duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives stock and verifies accuracy of new product
• Rotates stock.
• Restocks returned products.
• Operates forklift and order picker machines.
• Assists with quarterly inventories.
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves orconveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens boxes and other containers.
• Janitorial duties when required
• Other duties assigned by Warehouse Manager(s)
• Heavy lifting required up to 50lbs.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
