Job summary

The Facilities Group National in Houston, TX is seeking a morning shift janitor to maintain facilities and perform cleaning tasks to keep buildings in pristine condition. You will handle general cleaning, vacuuming, restroom upkeep, trash removal, and debris control as part of a dedicated service team.

Ideal candidates have some cleaning experience and basic knowledge of cleaning products, with the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work safely with cleaning products.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. – E-Verify

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Cleaning and stock restrooms.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Remove debris and snow from sidewalks.
• Ensure doors are locked after hours.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
• Work with a contract cleaning service when necessary.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
