AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Cook for the AM/opening shift at Anderson University in Anderson, SC. This is a part-time position with weekend requirements.

You will assemble, cook, and present meals, maintain a sanitary kitchen, and ensure proper food handling and rotation. The role involves following recipes, preparing ingredients, and attending to the detail of each order in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience including food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and safety/sanitation.
• Exceptional food presentation skills.
• Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Strong work ethic and high energy level.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a pleasant dining experience.
• Assemble, cook, and present ingredients.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen.
• Attend to the detail and presentation of each order.
• Place and expedite orders.
• Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients.
• Prepare hot and cold dishes and ensure proper cooling and storage.
• Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
• Stores leftovers according to established standards.
• Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the team.
