Job summary

St. Joseph School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant for Skaith, working 6:30am–1:30pm (7 hours) in the Nutrition Services department.

This 9-month, non-exempt position reports to the Food Service Supervisor/Kitchen Manager and supports daily meal preparation and service. Responsibilities include attending meetings, stocking and arranging food, maintaining sanitary conditions, preparing meals, and assisting with inventories while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

• Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
• Arranges food and beverage items for serving to students and staff.
• Assists in stocking food, condiments and supplies for adequate quantities.
• Cleans utensils, equipment, and storage areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Cooks food to meet mandated nutritional and projected meal requirements.
• Implements menu plans to meet daily nutritional requirements.
• Inspects items to verify quantity, quality and health standards.
• Maintains equipment and storage areas in sanitary condition.
• Monitors kitchen areas to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operations.
