Job summary

Stockton Unified School District is seeking a part-time instructional assistant to support teachers in a preschool program. You will supervise, provide learning experiences, ensure a safe and healthy learning environment, and assist with related duties as assigned.

Hours are morning-only, with duties including supervising children, preparing activities, and assisting with meals and nap time. Requires completion of high school and six months of experience with students; First Aid is required

Qualifications

• Completion of the 12th grade or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in planning and preparing learning activities.
• Work with children individually and in groups.
• Participate and interact with children during learning experiences.
• Promote well-being and positive attitude/self-image.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities including arts, crafts, music, and science.
• Assist with meals, naps, and clean-up as needed.
• Maintain materials, equipment, supplies and toys.
