Job summary

Sun Valley Education is seeking a caring Preschool Assistant Teacher to support daily operations of our Preschool program. You will work under the Preschool Lead Teacher, helping plan activities and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children and families.

You will engage children in activities, support daily living tasks, and help with attendance records and family communication. A high school diploma and two years' preschool experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Actively working toward ECE certification, CDA credential, or related degree.
• CPR and First Aid Certification must be current and completed in person.
• Food Handler's Card is required.
• Must register with the Arizona Registry upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Support the Preschool Lead Teacher with daily supervision and care.
• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and weekly lesson plans.
• Engage children in learning activities promoting development and social skills.
• Maintain supervision and appropriate staff-to-child ratios.
• Prepare classrooms and materials for daily programming.
• Track attendance, sign-in/out and basic records.
