Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight accurately and promptly to support quick deliveries.

Work hours are Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 5:00 am, with pay ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include unloading packages, scanning barcodes, sorting by destination, stacking freight in trailers, and performing light custodial duties to keep a clean warehouse.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Efficient time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to read labels quickly and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes.
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state.
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently.
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed.
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
