Job summary

Corner House Restaurant in Summerville, SC is seeking a part-time AM Line Cook to join a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property managed by Troon. You will learn standards, prepare items per recipes, and help ensure sanitation and quality throughout production shifts.

Minimum qualifications include an Associates Culinary Degree with 2 years of culinary experience or equivalent, and Serv Safe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 2 years of culinary experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Serv Safe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learns and maintains standards in food production and quality.
• Expedites orders in a timely manner.
• Practices excellent operational sanitation.
• Executes scheduled banquet functions.
• Maintains a professional relationship with fellow associates.
• Helps reduce loss/waste.
• Communicates equipment repair needs with chef.
• Actively participates in training efforts.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Checks, dates deliveries and reports variances to chef in charge.
• Verifies coolers are at proper temperatures and cleaned daily.
• Processes inventory requisitions and receives supplies as needed.
• Prepares food according to production plans and recipes.

Education

Associates Culinary Degree and 2 years of Culinary Experience and/or training

Serv Safe Certification (preferred)
